What First Aid & CPR course do you require?
Broken Leg First Aid offers a variety of certification courses from Standard First Aid CPR/AED (Full & Renewal), Emergency First Aid, BLS Provider CPR, (In class & Blended Online) plus Family & Friends CPR Anytime (by request only) . All certifications received are through the Heart & Stroke Foundation. You can sign up as an individual or book a group course for your business.
What is First Aid and CPR?
In Standard First Aid, you will learn the essential skills of patient care to protect and support the life of a suddenly ill or injured person until emergency medical services arrive. The BLS Provider Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) course is designed to teach healthcare providers the lifesaving skills of CPR and relief of choking in adults, children and infants, as well as how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) with both adults and children.
Who is the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSFC)?
HSFC provides first aid and CPR training course and certifies instructors throughout Canada. It is also the only Canadian member of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). It is also the only recognised certification program for CPR by Alberta Health Services.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (HSF), whose mission is to reduce death and disability from heart disease and stroke, is dedicated to providing resuscitation training that will supply the necessary tools for managing sudden and life-threatening events.
The HSFC is approved to deliver first aid training in Alberta by the Government of Alberta's Occupational Health and Safety Minister. All courses will be delivered in accordance with the legislative requirements for first aid at workplaces.
